  • Decolonization in India :

India was colonized by Great Britain.Under their rule, India's military, architectural, and governmental systems flourished. After the demise of the Mughal Empire India was ruled by various rajas in their respective provinces. This made India disorganized and easy for the British to take over Socially, India was plagued by the caste system where society was divided into castes Brahmins-priests Kshatriyas-warriors VaishyasThis further divided India.

  India Today Political the new nation today is a democratic republic and it is divided into 29 states and 7 territories India has both a president and prime minister.

The current prime minister is N. Narendra Modi and the current president is Ramnath Kovind. India has a parliament made up of 2 houses called the Rajya Sabha (Council of the States) and the Lok Sabha (People’s Assembly).
