The Philippines: Vision For A Sustainable World

Globalization   Aug 12, 2017 by Mary Stephanie Alcantara

A) What is your vision for a sustainable world?

  • My vision for a sustainable world simply is, just to always have an eye for our world. Always checking on it making sure that we are able to maintain it’s beauty, order and rules. It’s like taking care of a baby or a pet. We should always look out for them and make sure we give them their needs. That’s the same thing we have to do for our world. We have to take care of it and protect it. We know what can lead to our world if we just forget about it. There are consequences when we don’t take care of it. At least small things that can happen that will start to happen when we just lose focus on dealing with our world. Also, for a sustainable world, we should also do our part to help maintain a sustainable world. Workers that help develop a better, more improved work, should give their effort to help make our world a better world.

B) What are you planning to do to make this vision a reality?

  • I believe that each individual who is doing something in their life, like working, they are useful for this world. Because in our jobs, we play a role in our society. We play a role that can help other people in different needs. We need to take our jobs seriously and be passionate on our work because we ourselves are useful. We are part of taking care of our world. We can help make our society have improvements, by giving what we can do to help change the society. We should always remember the effects of what we contribute to the world. If we do good, we are doing great making our good expectations for our world. If I/we do the same thing, our vision to make our world, sustainable, will turn into reality.

C) What impact has colonization had on our journey to a sustainable planet?

  • It helped develop improvements in our planet because lots of improvements for our world was given to us. Although not always, but somehow people had the help they could get from our government. Also the poor, and the needy were somehow feeded, were given places for them to stay. And schools, buildings that were promised to be built for us by our government were given to us.

I totally agree with you! It's important that we take our jobs seriously and with passion since every single job has a purpose and will be helping in some way. We have the world in our hands and its OUR JOB to fix what WE have done, because if we don't, no one will.
