- A) What is your vision for a sustainable world?
My vision for a sustainable world is a recycling process. All packaging materials are biodegradable and compostable. Once something is used, it is recycled back into the earth or reused. If a tree is cut down and made into paper, a new one is planted. All technology and appliances are run by renewable or inexhaustible resources.
In this sustainable world, processed food has no existence. Processed food produces a lot of trash which isn’t in this renewable world. No one in this world owns a trashcan and no one has things to throw away. Compost bins and centers, recycling bins, solar panels, wind turbines, and other tools used for gathering renewable and inexhaustible energy rome the land. Some people make their own compost into fertilizer, others take their compost to centers where other people take care of it. The compost provides strong nutrients to plants and other vegetation. People use the compost to grow fresh fruits and vegetables. Many open parks are blooming with plants; making the world a very beautiful environment.
In this sustainable world, people own less things and instead gather their happiness from interacting with each other. Instead of driving to work alone, people carpool and enjoy simple conversation.
Once someone no longer has a use for someone, they pass it along to someone else who can use it. Green centers cover the world. At these centers, people can empty their compost and recycling bins. They can also buy, trade, or donate clothes and other items that they no longer need.
- B) What are you planning to do to make this vision a reality?
I will make an effort to make progressive changes to make my lifestyle fit more with this vision. From composting and recycling more often to using reusable items, every little thing can make a difference. I will also share with others what I learn and what we can do to improve the environment we live in. Even if one little change doesn’t seem to make a difference, many little changes makes a great difference.
- C) What impact has colonization had on our journey to a sustainable planet?
Colonization has had many impacts on our journey to a sustainable planet. Colonization has brought new ideas and technology that is less harmful to the environment. Recycling and composting are ideas that have been improved overtime and are key processes that lead to a sustainable planet. Solar panels and wind mills are types of new technology that allow us to capture and store renewable and inexhaustible resources. This helps us decrease the amount of fossil fuels we consume. Companies are developing new transportation and other products that run on more eco friendly energy. Colonization has helped to create and establish these great resources which is helping to improve our planet.
When several people colonize an area, it can also be harmful. Sometimes new technology can bring negative impacts such as pollution and waste. Plants and animals are affected by the building of roads, houses, structures, etc. Colonization can be both good and bad and at times can benefit or harm our journey to a sustainable planet.

This a really good view, I definitely agree with recycling. The drawing is really good, and the green center is a really good idea especially the sign in front. What caught my attention was "Recycle" and "Breathe." The second image explains a lot, about how it will be:
I agree with your point, we need to make little sustainable attitudes in our lives and step by step, we can make a better world. I also loved your drawing.
I like your art. Since you made it, the art represents exactly what you want it to. I also like how you talked about colonization in both a positive and negative light.
Claire,
I like how you thought about the positive impacts of colonization (question c) in addition to the negative impacts because most people tend to only think of negative impacts.
I liked that you mainly talked about the positive parts of colonizations instead of everything bad that colonization has caused.
I like that you added the positive and negative things about colonization.
I liked that you were not only talking about the negative things and how you were being very descriptive of the positive impact that the world would have.
I like that you included recycling and composting in to your article. I also liked that you talked about pros and cons about colonizations impact on our planet.
Your vision is very interesting and unique. I love how you have places where you can have your compost turn into soil. Your ideas are great but could you clarify on what you are planning to do to make the vision a reality. Otherwise it is notable work.
