DECOLONIZATION
⦁It is the process by which one or more colonies acquire or regain their independence.
⦁Remove a colony fixed on a certain territory of the same place.
TO DISCOUNT
⦁Remove the carbon that exists in a body.
⦁Limit or eliminate the use of carbon-emitting energy sources in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
I think the two are done together because in a way when you decarbonize you already decolonize. To decarbonize is to cleanse, remove carbon, and decolonize is to remove something from a place, usually causing some discomfort, so when you take the carbon apart it decarbonizes you to take the carbon out of something, or regain its "independence."
Examples;
"Decarbonising the engine means removing excess coal deposits resulting from the burning of fossil fuels (gasoline / diesel), more pronounced in engines without electronic fuel injection management. Ethanol also generates carbonization, but to a lesser degree.
The process of decarbonization is relatively simple in all systems (carburized and injected). Internal engine cleaning is usually done on parts that are in direct contact with internal combustion. To clean the engine lubrication system, a specific chemical with a high concentration of detergents is used. If the product used has the correct chemistry, it will be effective in cleaning the engine internally. "
When they de-carbonize the engine, they remove impure, and things that are damaging the engine, so that it returns to its normal functionality. And that's exactly what I'm trying to talk about when you take carbon off the engine and it goes back to normal, just because you removed something bad (decolonization).

Hi Stephany,
I like your idea with the example of de-carbonizing an engine and I think this could apply to many areas of modern life. It seems that you have made connections between colonization and carbon issues in the environment. Thank you for sharing your thoughtful ideas.
