What is your vision for a sustainable world?
My vision for a sustainable world is a world in which the environment’s welfare is prioritised. This would mean reducing our ecological footprint, especially in relation to carbon emissions. We would rely only on renewable energy sources and the amount of rubbish sent to landfills would greatly reduce due to the increase in recyclable products.
What are you planning to do to make this vision a reality?
I will conduct research concerning the reduction of carbon emissions to improve and extend my knowledge and understanding of the subject before raising awareness within the wider community on how they can play a part in the reduction of carbon emissions.
What impact has colonisation had on our journey to a sustainable planet?
Colonisation has greatly increased demand for resources which has led to increased carbon emissions through the resources’ extraction, manufacturing and transportation.
This street art, supposedly painted by Banksy, raises the issue of rising sea levels to mock those who are stubbornly refusing to accept that climate change is real.
