Extracting the soil resources can be very bad for the planet, because it generates a series of problems: soil impoverishment, deforestation, environmental pollution. In the short term the landscapes are changed and in the long run the water will run out, the climates will be more unpredictable and the resources may end and you will have nothing for the next generations
The owners of the big print, the millionaires are the people who benefit from the extraction of resources and who does not benefit at all with this is the Planet because one day the resources are over. The colonization of some countries has caused several negative things to happen to the planet, for example: in Brazil almost hears the extinction of Pau Brasil
Indigenous people:
In relation to the environment: As a result, the Indians develop forms of natural resource management that have been fundamental for the preservation of forest cover in Brazil, thereby helping to protect the forests because they know of their dependence. Some Indians in Brazil are in conflicts with the farmers, for lands and in this case each one of the parts has an interest by the lands
Environmental activists
These groups fight on behalf of the environment, whether on account of animal rights or botanical elements
NGOs often also fight for the environment, try to change the thoughts of governments but are not always heard
A great social and environmental ethical answer, would be that each one could think better about what he is doing on the planet. each one first has to do his part to improve things

Hi Caio,
This is a thoughtful and detailed post. I appreciate that you included the different interest groups. Is it possible to use a few specific examples of what the NGOs or indigenous groups are doing to fight this problem? I like your last sentence and agree that it is going to be very important for each person and company to think about their actions. How do you think we might be able to get a global change for increased awareness and responsibility?
