Environment   Sep 27, 2017 by Birendra Jha

WHAT ARE THE MOST RELEVANT ACTIONS PROPOSED IN SDG#13 ?

Although SDG#13 targeted so many goal but the most relevant goal is take urgent action to combat climate change and its impact.

climate change is affecting every country on every continent. It is affecting national economies, lives, costing people, community and countries.

It is our shared problem problem we cannot solve these problem alone but our neighbor countries must be responsible.

WHAT OTHER AREAS DO YOU THINK SHOULD BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT ?

My target is to prevent cutting down of trees and emphasis on planting new plant. My other target is to save water although we are reach in water but we have to help our neighbor also.I aim to reduce poverty because it also affects our climate.

Hi Birendra,

Thanks so much for your post for assignment 2a. Great post! And very sad photos.

I completely agree with you that climate change impacts every person in every country on every continent. No one can escape the effects of climate change, even if they don't believe it's real. Some countries are certainly impacted more than others -- a great example of that is the upcoming COP23 conference being led by Fiji. Fiji is a south Pacific island nation that NEEDS the help of the whole world in order to survive. If we don't do out part, Fiji will literally disappear. There's a great article on the COP23 website about Fiji, if you wanted to learn more.

You mentioned that other areas that needs to be taken into account are deforestation and water resources, and I couldn't agree more. Although, as far as finding the solution to climate change and/or preventing it from getting worse, is deforestation a top priority? Or, is it possible that deforestation is more a symptom of a larger problem?
