Globalization   Sep 14, 2017 by ana ribas

about this nothing impress me, i not surprised what the industry and humans with no passion can do with the planet where they lived. but here i will but some things that i think more important

emissions of sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide and dioxide and particulate matter, such as dust, smoke and soot, grow in all urban and industrial agglomerations in the country. The situation is more serious in large centers, such as São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte. Data from Cetesb (State Company of Technology and Basic Sanitation), from 1991, show that the industries of Greater São Paulo launch approximately 305 thousand tons of particulate matter and 56 thousand tons of sulfur dioxide a year in the air. Cars and heavy vehicles are responsible for the emission of 2,065 tons of carbon monoxide per year. At the industrial complex of Baixada Fluminense, in Rio de Janeiro, the concentration of suspended particles reaches the annual average of 160 mcg / m³, double that of considered safe

Endangered species

The most recent official list of endangered animals in Brazil is 1990. Most of the endangered species are concentrated in the Amazon, the Atlantic Forest and the Pantanal and have been victims of the destruction of their habitats and indiscriminate hunting. There are 57 mammals, among them the golden lion tamarin, the ocelot, the otter, the jaguar, the anteater. The birds number 108 and the list includes the macuco, the flamingo, the hawk and the snake. Among the nine reptiles are the surucucu, some turtle species, and the yellow-faced alligator. Of the 32 types of invertebrates, most are butterflies and dragonflies. The list also lists 117 other little-known species, also endangered.

Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Indonesia are the most biologically diverse countries in the world. The Amazon, the Mata Atlântica and the Pantanal are among the largest biological reserves on the planet, most of them threatened by the process of environmental degradation. Endangered plant species - The replacement of the original ecosystems by pastures, disorderly extraction and pollution have reduced and even led to the extinction of numerous native plant species. This is the case of araucaria, or pine-do-paraná, Brazil-wood and several members of the bromeliaceae family. The projections on the number of floral species existing in the Amazon range from 50 thousand to 100 thousand. Of these, at least one thousand have potential for economic exploitation and possible pharmaceutical application.

It is indeed appalling that some industries are aware of the impact their actions have on earth, yet they do not care. I like your image! Our actions are causing not only our planet problems, but ourselves and all forms of lives on earth. We have to take good care of our planet and save our endangered animals. good point.
