Ecological footprint
I live in the rest of the word in a flat/apartment, which i share with two people. For the size of my home, my cooling likes are lower than average. I buy my electricity from renewable sources and I tend to conserve energy.
I travel mostly by car (light user) and I usually go on holiday close to home. I’m a regular meat-eater and I usually eat a mixture of a fresh and convenience foods.
I produce no average amount of waste, most of which is not recycled.
I think I make a medium impact in the world, because I think it's half good, and half bad. I think I could improve and cooperate more with the environment.
I think we can greatly reduce the devastation that humans cause over the world. For example, if each person becomes aware that we should save water, we would not be suffering from water rationing here in Brasilia. And if everyone turned off the lights and appliances while they were not being used we would save a lot of energy, and that would be great for the environment.
I think the school could do events on the environment to encourage students to preserve the environment, and students would encourage their parents, which would cause a very large effect on the environment with all together to protect it and preserve it, and this would help with sudden weather changes and natural disasters caused by human acts.

Hi Luiza,
I appreciate your reflection and how you have connected your findings to your home community and the problem of water shortages. What specific actions do you think people could do to reduce their water use? I think your idea of bringing environmental awareness to schools is a very positive idea. I wonder if this is something that you could start at your school? There are many student friendly programs to create environmental awareness that you could initiate at your school. Here are a few examples: https://www.earthhour.org (energy conservation) https://rootsandshoots.org (various projects to get involved with). You may also wish to check Pedro08's blog post as he also discussed the water issues in Brazil.
