CILT/Brazil-Brasília-3B-II-Teacher: Cristina Lourenço

Environment   Sep 12, 2017 by Pedro08

It can be said that what surprised me most was how we humans only perceive the damage when it is already done. After using the ecological footprint, I realized that consumerism and the lack of awareness of human beings are destroying the planet and that we need more than one planet to support all this consumerism.Comparing the average between my city (Brasilia) and my country (Brazil), it can be concluded that the results differ somewhat, but not much. Brasilia has had some problems with the water crisis, making the research results as real as possible, proving that we are moving to an end of water and other resources of our planet.I believe that to help, we would have to reduce the deforestation of trees, excessive depletion of animals to use their meats for consumption and save on the consumption of water, which has already been a problem. With the reduction of the ecological footprint, resources would be much better utilized and used in a smart and innovative way.

Hi Pedro,

I think you have some strong ideas connected to carbon footprint, water, consumption, and awareness and are developing your perspective on climate change problems. It seems like you might be interested in learning more about reducing water use as this is something that is affecting your community. Have you looked in the resources section? There are several readings related to water use that might be interesting for you.
