What I'm planning to do is stop throwing trash on the street and recycle.

I think you have the beginning of some great ideas. Can you elaborate on how you are going to change our habits? Which action do you think is the most important to change? Properly disposing of trash and recycling sounds like positive action. Perhaps you want to look into reducing what you buy to prevent having trash or waste to recycle. Can you provide any specific examples of what the devastation in the search for resources was? Is there still a lasting impact of this search for resources?
