United States: 1a. My Profile Vision

Environment   Aug 9, 2017 by Ryan Agdassi
  • A) What is your vision for a sustainable world?

My vision for a sustainable world is for the air quality to become safer in every country by creating more reusable energy, so there is less air pollution. Also, a sustainable world would use more electrical and solar energy, rather than fossil fuels, because fossil fuels are the leading source of global warming's. Therefore, my vision for a sustainable world is to create more reusable, electrical, and solar energy, and to use less fossil fuels, in order to reduce the chances of global warming’s.

  • B) What are you planning to do to make this vision a reality?

In order to make this vision a reality, I plan to use electrical, reusable, and solar energy, instead of fossil fuels, because fossil fuels are dangerously increasing the chances of climate change. However, if we decrease the uses of fossil fuels and create energy through solar panels and electricity, then the air quality would become much safer and cleaner. One way to prevent global warming’s is to use as little gasoline as possible, and to switch to electrical energy, because it is much safer to the environment. For example, if we use more electric cars, then there would be much less pollution in the air, compared to using cars that run off of gasoline. Also, I plan to encourage people to put solar panels on their homes to make the air cleaner by using solar power. To conclude, I plan to encourage people to use solar panels, electric cars, and less fossil fuels to make this world a cleaner and safer place.

  • C) What impact has colonization had on our journey to a sustainable planet?

Colonization has had many negative impacts on our long journey to a sustainable planet. As people settled in new areas, they built many new buildings out of fossil fuels, which dangerously led to global warming’s. As a result of fossil fuels, pollutants spreaded across the atmosphere, which did not help our environment at all. For example, when my family and I traveled to Indonesia, we noticed that the air was very dirty and was filled with smog. This was mainly because of the greenhouse gases and the small space which instantly spreaded with air pollution. As a result of new settlers, the air pollution has gone out of control and can desperately use the help of all of us.
