A) What is your vision for a sustainable world?
My vision for a sustainable world is where animals and humans live in harmony and are treated as equals. Humans would understand the needs of all the ecosystems surrounding them and would help along the animals if their population starts to flail. There would be no animal hunting or poaching for parts. We would work globally to help the animals in our world and this could be seen anywhere. The world is full of green. Plants line the streets and there are many community gardens. Most people have big yards full of towering redwoods and dark oaks. The chatter of birds could be heard anywhere and the town parks are huge and cover many acres. Hills waving with tall grass gleam under the warm yet subtle rays of the sun and stiffer bushes are the only fences around houses. Any endangered species have thrived and they can be seen everywhere, amongst the birds that crowd the sky, or walking along through the lush forests, looking for their next meal.
Citizens have stopped all use of unsustainable objects and materials and started creating only reusable and sustainable materials that affect the environment in no way. The trash cans have disappeared off doorsteps and been replaced by recycling and composting bins. Everyone reuses. At schools, it is required material to learn about the environment, how to change for the better and how, globally, we have improved so much since climate change ruled the Earth. Neighbors carpool to longer distance places and trains using renewable sources of energy are the only trains used. All around people can be seen helping each other and world peace is guaranteed. After all the wars had been settled by treaties, everyone agreed they were a lost cause. New schools and better education is now being offered worldwide. There is no more social inequality and everyone is treated as equals. Racism is a long forgotten word. Every person in every country accepts and tries to understand each other. Many times a month there are cross-country meetings, just to help each country understand the new achievements of the other countries, or new difficulties and try to help the other country.
All industries have thrived and anyone who wants a job can easily find one. Medicine is much more advanced now and no disease has is without a cure. All diseases are either only present in labs for research or have been completely eradicated. Technology has greatly improved and even though we have found ways to teleport and began storing much more personal information on the internet, no one ever invades another’s privacies. The only business that has not thrived is the justice department. No one ever intends to harm another human being or animal, and even though there are mistakes, everyone understands and does not condemn others for making a mistake, fatal as it may be. All courts, prisons, and justice systems have disappeared because no one is there to be in the prisons or be determined a sentence in court. All previous court or prison employees have turned to the growing science industries such as the zoologists, psychology, and botany.
Energy is a newly defined word because of all the changes that have occurred. Energy is only renewable and non-harmful to the environment. Alternative fuels and sources of energy have been created. Windmills, dams, and solar panels are the main forms of energy. Factories create much less smog and use much less energy, and the little energy they use is renewable. Solar panels can be seen in rows and rows, storing and taking in energy to be used for later among the rooftops and windmills line fields of grass, churning up energy even though the most drastic thunderstorm. Transportation systems use only environmentally friendly fuel, and even though there are quicker forms of transportation for larger distance, bicycles have become the most popular form of transportation. After years of work to ensure every species possible is thriving, the world has settled into total balance, rewarding both the economical industries and the newly revived environment.
B) What are you planning to do to make this vision a reality?
First, we have to raise awareness. In order to stop the problem, we must first understand it and help others to understand. The more people that recognize the problem, the more people will be willing to try to change it. Then, we have to research alternative solutions for all the things we have today. The plastic bags, all the forms of energy we use, and almost everything around us has, in some way, hurt the environment. Whether it was to use unnatural energy or be made possible by the destroying of land and/or animals, all materials have some harm. The goal would be to minimize the harm. After enough people realize the problem and have an idea of alternative solutions, we will work worldwide to ensure our plans occur. But, even though large plans must occur to face this problems, the change always has to start somewhere. Personally, I will recycle and compost more and make sure that I am never harming the environment unnecessarily. I will start using reusable plastic bags to prevent wasting of plastic. I will encourage others to do the same.
C) What impact has colonization had on our journey to a sustainable planet?
The effects of colonization on this journey to become a sustainable planet could be harmful and helpful. It is known that colonization often introduces new plants and animals to new areas, disrupting the food chain, and overpopulation of the new plant/animal as they most likely have no predators in the region. Colonization has also brought new diseases that might hurt the indigenous communities, and brought many ideas that hurt the environment and it's ecosystems such as the introduction of guns and axes into new regions where the environment had been previously preserved. However, colonization could also benefit the journey to a sustainable planet as it could bring the belief that we need to face climate change to more places than we could have brought it to. This will help gather more people in our fight to stop climate change and build a sustainable planet. The more these ideas are known the more people will be willing to participate and help us change the planet for the better.

I like how detailed you are in your answer for Question A. I can actually imagine what you are suggesting and I think that the ideas are really good.
