About Me

I live in a tropical area of northern Australia but my town is in an arid rain shadow area, making droughts, extreme heat and cyclones common. It is important to me that we find ways to manage and lessen the effects of these events on the environment and people.

I am passionate about using renewable and sustainable energy sources in order to ensure a healthy planet for future generations. My vision for a sustainable future is one where waste is reduced or recycled, emissions of carbon dioxide (and equivalents) are reduced, and all countries in the world work together to reduce human damage to the environment.

Colonisation has effected the planet in many ways. For example, in Australia, European colonisation resulted in the extinction of many large land mammals, the deforestation of much of Australia's forests and rainforests, and much more. Similarly, around the world human colonisation has decreased animal habitats and polluted natural areas.
