  • Is to make it independent.
  • Remove the carbon that exists in a body
  • If we look at each meaning we can have a conflict between these two things, but, as we are taking their main characteristics, we can say that these two can be performed together, since, one means independence and another is withdrawing, thus having a complexity

For example, if we say that decarbonizing is to remove the excess carbon deposited on the surfaces, we can also say that decolonization, adapting to that sense, is to make this place free or independent of bad things.

  • In order to have students participate in these processes, it would take time for them to get the hang of it, because they are not simple things to solve. Having that if we were to take seriously each meaning would last for years to be done.

Hi Pedro,

You have made an interesting connection between these two concepts. Do you think that decolonization will help to decarbonize our modern societies? Do you think that students could begin to participate in small steps that are within their own lives and experiences?

Allison
