Result of Bilateral talking between Nepal and Indonesia.

The Indonesian students and teachers explained that their school is located near coal mining industry. They focus on how to educate students to do good mining practices by students research and take action to manage the waste of coal mining to get renewable energy.

Nepalese isue is deforastation for coffee planting. Our main prolem is deforastation. People are cutting tree to plant coffee. The effort of getting better life from planting coffee in turned out getting bad effect of climate change. our big natural disasters are landslides, flood e.t.c.

Exploring natural resources without destroying our environment. Balancing economic growth and sustainable environment.

Hi Birendra,

Thanks for your blog post for assignment 3a!

It sounds like you and Indonesia had a great discussion about your individual issues. I read Indonesia’s post and also saw their comment about making renewable energy from the waste of coal mining. Did they explain exactly how this is done? If they did, could you share?

During your discussion, did you talk about any potential solutions to these issues, specifically the issue of deforestation in Nepal?

I completely agree, we need to find a way to balance environmentally-sustainable agriculture and energy practices with economic requirements. It’s an unfortunately complex and long-term process, but some countries are making progress. Do you feel Nepal is working towards a balance? If they are, what are they doing?
