Morocco: my vision of a sustainable world

Environment   Sep 22, 2017 by Benhayoun
  • What is your vision for a sustainable world?
  • A sustainable world is a world without all this energy expenditure, a world where we use renewable energies more than fossil energies, a world where we do not spend billions to develop a nuclear weapon that could destroy our planet, we must think of the other generation that will exist after us, we must let for them a healthy world world otherwise they will be forced to repare our own errors.

  • What are you planning to do to make this vision a reality?
  • To make this vision a reality, I will privilege the public transport or the bike to the car, I will use the electricity instead of the gas I will convince all my friends and my family to not use their car excessively, ans i will also dissuade them to use electricity instead of gas,I’ll also try to do as much research as possible to improve my lifestyle in a way that would make me hurt the environement less.

  • What impact has colonization had on our journey to a sustainable planet?
  • colonization had a good and bad impact, a good one because it brings about civilization and a bad impact because with this colonization came the overpopulation that causes full of evil to the nature like the deforestation, all the forms of pollution...

so I think that this civilization brings more harm than good.

    Hi Benhanyoun,

Thank you for your engagement with the questions! I would love to hear more about your understanding of the impacts of colonialism? What do you mean by "bringing about civilization"? And you mention overpopulation as a major impact of colonization, can you explain further how overpopulation contributes to climate change? And how we might address overpopulation as continuing to impact our relationship to the environment?
