CILT / BRAZIL - BRASÍLIA - E6 - TEACHER: ISABEL TEIXEIRA.

Sep 21, 2017 by CAEV
  • How do these simulations relate to your community? Do any of them feel irrelevant to your context?

Showing how much ordinary habits of the day-to-day community contribute to environment damage, such as damaging green areas near our homes by throwing garbage. No, all raise awareness and reflect our actions.

  • How do these simulations help you (or not help you) find your place in combatting climate change?

Helping to find where we are going wrong. The result gives us more information into the scale of our attitudes and so we begin to rethink them as a key part in combating climate change.

  • Have these simulations changed how you think climate change should be tackled?

Yes, for sure. We think we are are doing a lot, but when we see the result of our habits in numbers, we become aware that larger-scale collaboration would make all the difference.

Hi CAEV,

My name is Elliot Damasah and I am your mentor for this project. I am glad the simulation helped you identify some deeds (damaging vegetations by mean of dumping garbage) that do not promote a healthy climate. You made me excite when you mentioned awareness. I believe awareness here implies that you will help create awareness about climate change in your community. Bravo for mentioning "rethink". The simulation caused me to rethink too. Good job!

Question:

Large scale collaboration is a critical one. Do you mind elaboration on it?
