A Sustainable World

Vision for a sustainable world:

Before we talk about a sustainable world, we need to know what it means. It means a world that can satisfy the needs of the present generation without compromising the needs of the future generations. A sustainable world needs sustainable energy, which is the primary feature of a sustainable world. We are used to hearing about the use of conventional energy sources such as thermal energy, but this is a very polluting source as it releases a lot of toxic gases in the atmosphere. Non- conventional sources of energy such as wave energy and geo-thermal are much better sources of energy as they are efficient and clean sources. My vision is to create awareness about these sources and find ways to tap them.

How to make this vision a reality:

I would organize programs to create awareness about these clean sources. The main reason why they are not very popular is that people don't know that they exist. If we can educate and tell people about these clean sources, we can solve this problem. I would also find ways to tap these sources. The earth is filled with geo-thermal spots. If we can find proper spots, we can establish power plants to harness this energy. Wave and tidal energy is also a good and efficient sources of energy. If we can establish proper plants at proper places, we can easily collect a good amount of energy.

Impact of colonization on our journey to a sustainable world:

Colonization has both positive and negative effects on the world. It had given us ideas and technology, it has also given us land and areas for the development of mankind. But with the expansion of colonies, it has also brought its evils. It leads to overpopulation and spread of diseases. Colonization has its equal share of pros and cons in shaping a sustainable world, but it often sets us back from our goal by demanding more resources.
