1. Ecological Footprint Calculator

  1. What part of your ecological footprint most surprised you?

What most surprised me was how many earths I would take up if everyone lived like me. I probably now know I can do better.

  1. How did your footprint compare to your city’s average and your country’s average?

My footprint compared to my city’s average was around the same, which was cool. But, mine was much lower than my country’s average. This was interesting because I can compare myself with others.

  1. What parts of your footprint do you feel is possible to reduce? What parts don’t?

I can maybe reduce my intake of processed and not locally grown intake. This can make me healthier. One part that I can’t reduce is how much I carpool because I can’t drive yet!

2. Climate Challenge

  1. What strategy did you take in Climate Challenge? Was it effective in reducing emissions?

A strategy that I took was taking in every bodies opinions and what different parts of the world’s leaders thought would be better for them. From that I incorporated everything.

  1. What did you think of how the strategy cards represented resources? Do you think some of the strategies/policies would have different impacts than the ones shown in the game?

I thought that it was very cool how the strategy cards represented the resources because it was a fun, easy, and cool way to use them. I think some stratagies would have been different than the ones in the game because there are always different ones than the usually generic ones that they had in the game.

  1. How did you approach international negotiations? Was it better to lead by example, or attempt to encourage other nations by investing in their green economies?

I thought it was better to attempt to encourage other nations by investing in their green economies because then you can sometimes persuade them into doing it.
