Suggestions from the Students and Teachers of the Taguatinga Norte - Brasilia / Distrito Federal High School Center to be read and included in the final document of COP 22 in favor of poor countries - 16112016

Education   Nov 18, 2016 by Davi Silva Fagundes

Dear Secretary-General and other members of the Brazilian delegation

of COP 22, Good morning!

It is a pleasure to be able to make a difference to you and other representatives of the countries at COP 22, and we want this message to be part of the final documents submitted by the participating countries to collaborate with the work of COP 22.

I am Professor in Brazil - Brasília - Federal District of the Taguatinga Norte High School and Coordinator of the International Conference of Youth in Brazil and the Federal District.

Our School is the only School to participate in the International Youth Conference on Water and Climate Change (COY 22), coordinated by the Glogal Center for Education at the University of Alberta-Canada, under the responsibility of Professor Terry Goldwaldt.

We inform you that it is the second year that our Students participate in the International Conference of Youth, and that in the year 2015, more than 10 thousand students participated in the world, the theme followed the same theme of COP 21 (Climate Change ), A condition that we want to contribute with our Students in Brazil to miminizar the climatic impacts and stress of the water resources in the world, situation already felt in Brazil and especially in Brasilia, with the warning of rationing of the water, in view, the reservoirs That serve the population of the Federal District to be in critical situation.

In the current process of participation, more than 25,000 students from around the world are participating in the International Youth Conference on Water and Climate Change, involving and empowering future drivers of our nations, to ensure sustainability and life.

I have received several suggestions from our students from the Taguatinga Norte High School Center so that these will be appreciated and included in the final document that the country representatives will sign at the end of COP 22.

We are very concerned about the two themes raised and discussed with the 25,000 Students worldwide.

We would like to make ourselves available to be part of the Working Groups, involving the countries participating in COP 22, to bring to the UN and the President of COP 22, whether the measures adopted at COP 21 have been or are being properly implemented in our country And in the participating countries.

It is in this sense that the GT - Working Groups of the countries participating in COP 22 should be trained to monitor in their countries whether the deliberations adopted at COP 21 and ratified at COP 22 will be implemented.

To this end, it will be the involvement of the representatives of the Ministries of the Environment, in particular those responsible for Climate Change in each country, representatives of the UN and Schools to be involved in rainwater harvesting projects, installation of solar panels, reforestation with species Natives in the Schools, definition and creation of Climate Fund for each country, State and Cities, intensification of Environmental Education focusing on sustainability - water resources and Climate Change - new technologies that contribute to sustainability, sewage system, Young people with the themes - Water, Climate Change and Sustainability, resource allocation from rich countries for the development of projects in the Schools of the countries in need of the projects, coordinated by the University of Alberta - Global Education Center, which already carries out this brilliant work of Discussion among young people.

We believe that in this way we can see a better future for humankind, especially for countries that are experiencing serious problems with lack of water, direct affectation on plantations - hunger and extreme climatic events.

We call on COP 22 representatives to stand up with one voice so that there is in fact and in the right the changes that need to take place on our planet for life to be sustained, and for our children to have dreams of a better world for all.

A big hug to all COP 22 participants and we wish to have success in the negotiations.

Regards,

Success always.

Att,
