LO- Navreet Toor- Climate change in the Indian Mind

Environment   Oct 5, 2016 by Navreet Toor

The article we were reading was mainly centered around the focus about how education impacted the acknowledgement of climate change in Indians. Many Indians that were asked about climate change were uneducated and didn't know much about climate change however they did know that it was happening around them but they didn't seem to acknowledge it much. The educated ones knew what climate change was and they knew how big of a problem it was. Many do not care about climate change simply because they don't know what it is and that is part of the reason why it is such a big problem now. After reading this article, it made us think how much of an impact education can have on the world and if many people around the world don't even know what climate change then how are we supposed to work on improving the environment. We can't expect people to make a change if those people don't know why they should. As a plan for the future, we need to work on educating people how big a problem climate change is and that it is happening fast. We also need to ask ourselves what we can do to help the climate change crisis and what role we play into it.
