LO-Kiran Khetarpal Reading about climate finance

Globalization   Oct 4, 2016 by Kiran Khetarpal

Our group was reading about EU and other countries financing developing countries with climate change. They had a fast plan of 7.34 Billion in 2011-2012, however that got increased to 30 Billion a year till they reach 100 Billion buy 2020. They know that this isn't enough however they feel as if it is a good start.

My group is quite happy with the choices made, the fact that they are at least trying to help countries that need help means that they recognize that this is a great problem. However this won't be enough. We can't wait to see what plan they will have by the meeting at 2020.

I like how you mentioned the future and how this isn't enough. Maybe they need service or an insurance policy guaranteeing proper spending of the money. What exactly does the money that the EU raises go towards? Directly to individuals or to services?
