About Me

My name is Rahel and I’m a 15-year-old student from Germany who’s staying in Australia for Term 3.

I’m vegetarian which is according to my opinion a great way to start saving our environment.
Cattle keeping produces a lot of methane gas and CO2 and enforces the greenhouse effect that way, which also has a big impact on climate change.

If everybody was aware of how highly their lifestyle affects our climate and environment, we could save a lot of water, money and resources.

Colonization had obviously had a big impact on climate change, although the earth’s climate was changing before there even were people. A hundred years ago the people just didn’t know what they were doing to our environment and now, as we realized how bad it was, many people try hard to annul those things, which is probably impossible.

I don’t think a completely sustainable world is ever possible and being vegetarian is just my way to come that goal a little closer.
In my leisure I am, apart from health, nurture and environmental changes, interested in music and sports.
