Climate Change is Our Shared Problem

are the most relevant actions/targets proposed in SDG#13

i think the most revelant thing is that As of 20 April 2017, 143 parties ratified the Paris Agreement, of which 137 parties (136 countries and the European Commission) communicated their first nationally determined contributions to the secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. As of 20 April 2017, seven developing countries successfully completed and submitted the first iteration of their national adaptation plans, in response to climate change. Developed countries have committed to jointly mobilizing $100 billion per year by 2020 to address the climate-related needs of developing countries and to continue that level of support through 2025

How do SDG #13 targets respond to the challenges created by the effects of climate change in water in both Indigenous and non-indigenous communities?

raising awareness of government and society is crucial. as the Indian said in the vidio of Brazil, people are not in the forest to realize how much things are changing because of the water and the climate change, if people do not change their bad habits and big industries do not change too, we will end up running out of water and without natural resources

What elements would you incorporate if you had to build and action/target that addressed water, Indigenous peoples, and non-indigenous people. Provide a brief rationale that justifies each element.

promote campaigns for the preservation of fauna and flora, campaigns promoting water reuse and water saving. to make society aware, to show that we can not continue doing what we are doing, we are killing our mother nature

Hi Anna,

You have addresses all the guiding questions and provided examples of your statements. Well done. I agree that the collaboration of the countries is a very important starting point for climate change action and agreeing to support developing countries with additional funds. I think it will be challenging to work out how to distribute the money, but it is a positive starting point.

I found your comments that raising awareness of the problems that indigenous people are encountering in the forest to be very important and a good place to begin. It is hard to change what we do not know about. Information is very powerful for people in all areas of life. Do you think people in your community would be interested in saving water? Are there any ways that your school could start with saving water?

Thanks for sharing your ideas.
