Q: What are the most relevant actions/targets proposed in SDG #13?
A: One of the most relevant actions proposed in SDG #13 is that lots of countries that are developed are raising one hundred billion dollars to help restore things that have been affected by climate change. This is really important because in less developed countries, it might be harder to restore things without financial aid from the government. For example, if someone's house was destroyed by a hurricane and they lost everything they owned, it would be hard to replace everything because they've worked hard to earn their possessions, and now it's all been taken from them.
Q: How do SDG #13 targets respond to the challenges created by the effects of climate change in water in both Indigenous and non-indigenous communities?
A: SDG 13 targets respond to the challenges created by the effects of climate change by working even harder to replace things they lost during climate change caused disasters.
Q: What other areas do I think should be taken into account?
A: Some areas that I think should be taken into account are Central America, Africa and Southeast Asia. These areas should be taken into account because they are highly vulnerable to climate change caused disasters.
Q: What elements would you incorporate if you had to build and action/target that addressed water, Indigenous peoples, and non-indigenous people. Provide a brief rationale that justifies each element.
A: One element that I would incorporate is that I would target Central America, Africa and Southeast Asia because they are vulnerable to climate caused disasters. Another element that I would incorporate is how to ration the water among the people who need it. This is important because I believe that if someone is wealthier than someone else that they should both receive the same amount of aid.
