My vision of a sustainable future is when citizens are concerned enough about the environment that they want to make a difference. It will happen when diverse groups from industry, environment, schools, service clubs, business, governments and the public come together and works towards a common vision of sustainability for our communities.
You must determine to not let fear of failure or rejection, excuses, what other think and procrastination hinder you any longer.You must make up your mind to pursue your vision even if you have to do it afraid.
Colonization has impacted our journey to a sustainable planet by using up all of the resources in one place, such as chopping down trees to make space to live. People also need energy, running water, food, and they generate waste.

Hi Joao,
I appreciate you listing some of the actors who must commit to sustainable practices in order to work towards a sustainability. How do you imagine those actors will be brought together for such a cause? Where does one begin to collaborate on such a large scale when you are an individual person? You are right, fear of failure and excuses are a huge barrier to pursuing change. How do you imagine, as a high school student, that you could challenge those attitudes in your community?
