CILT- Braslia - Brazil - Teacher: Isabel - E6 - Sustainable World

Aug 25, 2017 by CAEV

During and after the colonization process in various parts of the world, through wars or extraction, many environmental areas were exploited irresponsibly. The human and their talent for discoveries are enriching, but their inability to plan their actions and think of them as something that will result in consequences is troubling. The Atlantic Forest can be cited as an example of which, since the beginning of its exploration, today it is only 8.5% of its original area.

With everything,it is known that human action has been increasingly unbridled. The amount of garbage produced with no suitable place to recycle polluters and various spaces, dumps pollute soils and their burning aggravates the greenhouse effect. Exaggerated industrial production contributes its share of chemical waste and its fume.

Imagining all this pollution and misuse of the environment are becoming more constant in discussions and news, although it still doesn't reach most people. The world urgently needs awareness, of people committed to making their home a better and healthier place for all, especially for future generations. Investing in sustainable practices and habits is paramount, and recycling can be used more, using alternative transportation, promoting global reforestation campaigns, encouraging people to learn about sustainable methods. In general, it requires an environmental re-eduction of the human, together with the work of perspective of reality making people recognize themselves as part of this world and thus contribute by doing their part so that it continues to exist.

Hello,

I am a mentor from Canada and I am paired with Brazil. You have selected a very powerful image that promotes reflection and about the issues and opposing sides of cities and the environment. You have touched on many key issues- irresponsibility, urgency, awareness, sustainable practices, alternative practices, re-education, and many others. I can see you have many ideas and hopes for the future of the environment. What personal actions are you going to take to make a change for the better? What issue might you take on to try and inspire others?
