1) What is your vision for the sustainable world?
A sustainable world, according to me, is a world a where the humans can leave peacefully and within their means. Many criticize the manner in which the resources are used by the people and how it will influence the lives of the future generation. My vision of a sustainable world is where mankind can live peacefully and happily using resources within their limits and not wasting them so that the future generation can enjoy the resources and live happily.
2) What are you planning to do to make this vision a reality?
To make my vision a reality I feel that the main focus should be on creating awareness within the general public. The leaders of today's generation have already started discussing regarding Sustainable Development and Sustainable growth with regard to a Sustainable World. I feel we can do a lot if everyone contributes together. Resources will be used everyday as we depend upon them. But we come to a point where we should use these resources in such a manner that nothing is wasted so that we use the resources extensively and not waste them unnecessarily. So I feel that by creating awareness will help in achieving my vision.
3) What impact has colonization had on our journey to a sustainable planet?
Colonization has an huge impact on the sustainable world as the resources are used by the public at large for their daily needs. Through Colonization, natural habitats have been destroyed and the flora and fauna of the planet is at an threat. A lot of damage has been caused due to advancement of technology. Nuclear weapons have threatened the environment and have also impacted a change in the climate. If things continue in the same pace then there might be a lot of threats for planet earth and the people living. Colonization is one of the reasons for climate change. We should aim for a better, brighter future and this can be done if we start trying to save the environment and create awareness regarding the sheer waste of the natural resources. Thus, yes, colonization has effected our journey to a sustainable world.
