Philippines: My virtual people

A. Vision

I envision for us to have a sustainable world where there is a clean water for all, and to less vehicles that cause harmful chemicals in our atmosphere.

To learn more from research on how to sustain the world.

To innovate and use technologies that will benefit from the environment.

I envision this world to have a sustainable lifestyle that will help us sustain and improve this world.

B. What are you planning to make this vision a reality?

This vision will only be met if we realize that in order for us to accomplish and solve this problem. We need to have a sustainable lifestyle. What I mean is, we should have a reasonable consumption of products, which means we don't have any reason to double up factories or even double our production. And one suggested solution is to learn to save and recycle things to make a new things out of old things.

To create more sustainable technologies that will innovate and help us in sustaining the world.

Hoping that the manufacturers will realize that they will have a big factor in helping to solve this problem. I suggest that our production, of non basic needs of a person should be lessen.

C) What impact has colonization had on our journey to a sustainable planet?

In this 21st century, colonization is still living on how we perceive things, on how we dress and think and that can be maybe have its bad and good side it promotes diversity to learn and think outside from your own country or land, from the bad side itself, we Filipinos have what we call colonial mentality, which means one imported product is much better than the locals which is something not true. And it can harm or destroy your own nationalism. If you ask me personally, I would say that colonialism has already taken me over, when it comes to expressing myself. One good example is when I myself, patronize when it comes to buying signature shoes, from others point of view and the world of sustainability it is technically wrong but in my view, I buy there things for health and personal reasons, but I don't advocate to patronize imported things because it should be the same on how we look things. And  I strongly believe that buying local things will lead as to simplicity. And what is important is we are able to help our own natives.
