CILT-BRASÍLIA-BRASIL-class:2D-Teacher:Cristina Lourenço-1a"My point of view"

Environment   Aug 16, 2017 by Daniel Rocha Rodrigues

Sustainability is a concept based in human actions and activities that aim to extract resources without compromising nature and future generations.at the time of colonization ,they did not know this type of extraction, they used our natural resource, such as gold and "pau-brasil" in a non-conscious way, damaging our forests.

A society aware of its sustainable habits that aims to improve the quality of life.To educate society that it is necessary to conserve nature, separete and dispose of garbage correctly and preserver our animals.Colonization had a negative impact,we were a colony of exploration and at the beginninig of colonization some of the main products explored were gold and "pau-brasil". The uncontrolled exploitation had a huge impact on our forests and our animals, various species of animals and native plants were extinct.

So being aware of the use of natural resources by changing our daily habits and becoming aware of ourselves is just the first step towards a sustainable world.

Hi Daniel,

I am a mentor from Canada. You have made a strong start to this project! I like that you have included your definition of sustainability and problematic examples from Brazil. I agree that awareness is an important first step. Do you think that people in Brazil are already aware of the problems or is more awareness and education needed?

I look forward to reading more of your work in this project.

Allison

In my point of view here in Brazil there are many people who know the problem but do not call but many people still need to be aware.
