About Me

I’m Ramón. I was born in Ciudad Juárez, one of the northern border cities in Mexico. Currently, I’m living in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

I have a Bachelor in Civil Engineering obtained back in my hometown’s University (UACJ) in 2014. Currently, I'm pursuing a Masters Degree in Structural Engineering at the University of Alberta.
In 2012 I had the opportunity of studying a year of my degree as an exchange student in France, and that changed the perspective of how I was looking at different challenges my country was facing and awaken my interest for doing more for my surroundings.

Since then, I’ve been involved in some National Student Committees in Mexico and founded one of them at UACJ.

Thanks to these groups and my teammates, I discovered that the voice of young people is the one to be heard. We are coming with new ideas, we are curious, we work hard, we have passion, and we want to help.

I chose a degree which taught me to build. And I know I must do it right. I want to help to build a better world.
