Dear Bilateral partners COY 22, Good Day!
Present report on our situation in the Federal Distrtito. The dam serves Discovered A million and seissentas thousand people / day, with the distribution of water in their homes.
I would like to be in the final document to our situation as the issues surrounding water resources and climate change.
So we put the whole hand to give continuity the actions of the International Youth Conference on Water and Climate Change, situations that should involve not only the academic community, students and researchers, plus any society that has become hostage to the lack of action by the Public Managers, as in the Federal District.
Given the seriousness we are going through, we did mention to the establishment of working groups by interested countries, where it is necessary, control groups and governance of water resources and climate change, in order to revert the current frame.

The rules of the additional charges were published on Monday (10/10) in the Official Gazette of the Federal District. The extra will be charged for the homes that exceed the monthly consumption of 10,000 liters per month. The additional amount will detailed in the billet to be paid in a similar model to tariff flags of electricity. The money raised by the Environmental Sanitation Company of the Federal District (Caesb) will be allocated for a general ledger account and the amount can only be used for investment or costs related to the water crisis.

The Dam Discovered River was inaugurated in 1974 and is located along the BR-070, which connects the Pilot Plan to Aguas Lindas (GO). Since the inauguration, the trends of land use and occupation in the region have indicated the need to establish control mechanisms of environmental degradation. On 7 November 1983, it was created the Environmental Protection Area (APA) of Basin Discovered by Decree 88,940 / 83 the Federal Government.
The APA Discovered covers the administrative areas of Wansbeck, Brazlândia, Ceilândia and the municipality of Aguas Lindas, and its creation was intended to ensure greater protection to the River Basin Discovered and the dam. It also decided to adopt a "green belt" around the lake, where only afforestation and reforestation activities, protection features and conservation of water sources, would be allowed.
