In our discussion just now we determined that it was important to keep the following in mind:
1. Keep it organized, easy to navigate.
2. Simple, accessible language, Uniform language, cohesive.
3. Fun/interesting to read.
4. Actionable/Examples that make this accessible.
5. Representative of the global youth opinion, not just the opinions of the collaborators.
6. Intended to instill a sense of urgency

Hello once again everyone!
The time is almost upon us and with Morocco and the White Paper just around the corner I want to encourage everyone who hasn't done so already to post reflections and recommendations from the bilateral and triregional collaborations. We will be having our Global Virtual Town Hall meeting at 14:30 GMT on October 28th and we would like to have as much information and reflection from the schools as possible in advance of this piece.
This meeting is a chance to bring us all together to share and discuss the work that has been done at each of the schools over the course of this project and it is paramount that we are all able to attend and collaborate for this meeting. As we move into our week of Tri-Regional conferences, I would like to thank everyone for all of the amazing work that has been done so far!
This video was done in advance of the last conference. I'd encourage you to think of similar projects that you can do to share. Videos are a great way of engaging people in the conversation! Other than videos we can also contribute in other forms such as art, poetry, etc. To expand the conversation.
In addition, I would like to take this opportunity to engage you all in further collaboration on a more informal platform where discussion and sharing can take place. We have created a Facebook group to connect participants in this project to further build the community around climate leadership as part of the Decarbonize: Blue Youth project for COP 22. Bilateral Collaborations, Triregionals, and the Great Barrier Reef

As we continue along in the assignments and collaborations I am really enjoying seeing all of the work that has been, and is being done by everyone on the virtual classroom. By now I hope most of you have had a chance to meet with your bilateral partners to collaborate and I am looking forward to reading the reflection blogs following this piece. We are also approaching the date for our Global Virtual Town Hall on October 28th and as such it is paramount that we are able to complete these blogs and begin work on the triregional portion of the project.

This article presents a narrative around the condition of Australia's Great Barrier Reef due to coral bleaching as a result of climate change. It is a great read and certainly is closely related to the work being done as part of #Decarbonize and #BlueYouth. A number of the blogs already posted on the global classroom directly address the problem of coral bleaching and I would encourage you all to give this a read.

Hello again everyone, I am making this announcement as I have just sent emails out to the teachers identifying the bilateral pairings (they can be found under the blogs folder 'bilateral pairings' where you can post work done with your pairing). In addition I am asking that people registered on the virtual classroom, or those registering set their display name to show some identification of which school they are posting for. In my display I show up when posting as CGE Sam Karras. In order to change your display name go to your profile, select "edit profile" and change input some identifier of your location on your display name. This would go a long way in making it easier for us to provide support when necessary and to give effective feedback for the assignments.
Many of the schools have also been paired with a Graduate mentor to support their work as well. You can find your school's graduate mentor and an introduction under the discussions section. Please check this out and leave a comment so that you can familiarize with eachother!
Another thing I would like you to consider is submitting content for the public webpage. This can include photography, artwork, multimedia, etc. and can be emailed to me at samk@takingitglobal.org please also remember to use our hashtags when tweeting or posting about climate change or anything to do with this project! #decarbonize #blueyouth

Hello everyone!
My name is Sam Karras and I will be helping out in facilitating the COP 22 project. I will be making weekly announcements for the project and working with schools to ensure that they have the support they need. I will also be here to provide feedback on any of the work you are doing here on encounters and will be glad to offer advice as needed.
I am currently an Undergraduate student at MacEwan University, and the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. I am studying Nursing and Biochemistry, so my background is not in climate change, but this is a project that I am passionate about and I will be glad to provide support as I can, and I am always happy to continue learning and developing as well.
To start us off, I have attached our COP 22 climate change national dialogue survey in this post. Please open the link here and open the form for your country. We are looking to add 4-6 questions specific to each region in which the survey will be run. Please consider questions that might be directly relevant in your country with regards to climate change for this year's survey and add them to your country's version of the survey found within the link. These could either be with a general focus on climate change, or with a special focus on water climate.

With over 10,000 youth from every corner of our planet working together, your students will be helping to lead the world’s largest synthesis of youth voice in advance of the United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP22, in Morocco in November.
