About Me

I have been an educator for over 30 years and am still loving it. Interactions with youth have changed over the years but being able to open their eyes and hearts to things that become passionate to them keeps me motivated to continue teaching. I love to travel and be in the outdoors and so the changing climate and abuse we are inflicting on our planet Earth is a huge concern of mine. I have 2 children, 2 golden retrievers and a husband and we live in Calgary Alberta. We love to ski, hike, fish and camp in the mountains and spend a lot of time outdoors so it is nice to be a teacher and have the time off in the summer to enjoy it. My son just graduate from University with an Accounting degree and is pursuing his accounting career with Ernst & Young in Calgary. My daughter is attending Vancouver Island University in the Professional Cook/Hospitality Management Degree and is in her second year. We get to visit a lot and enjoy the West Coast and all it has to offer.
