To all the Brazilian students partaking in COP22 -- hello and welcome! My name is Kasia and I will be your graduate student mentor from the University of Alberta.
I have just begun my master's degree in the neuroscience program at U of A, and the lab I just started with is concerned with peripheral nerve regeneration. Although neuroscience may not be directly applicable to climate change issues, I have always been interested in the environment and as a high school student I used to be very involved my school's conservation efforts. This is my first year of being a part of the COP project and I am very excited about working with you guys!
I will be giving you feedback as you complete the activities and will be helping you out with research. If you ever need any assistance in terms of finding climate change resources or doing country-specific research, please don't hesitate to contact me!
