Hello students and teachers from South Africa!

My name is Lia Pervin and I will be with you as a mentor for the Blue Youth COP22 project. I am a Water Resources Engineer with experience in climate change project planning, analysis and modeling in water resources sector. My role provided support to the development strategy, policy and management for the adoption and mitigation of climate change for the government of Northwest Territories, Canada. I also evaluated the economic aspects of the climate change on the agricultural sector of Lethbridge, Alberta. I love to engage in water and climate change issues that matter us, like flooding, drought, river flow and agriculture.

I'll be glad to share my experiences on climate change research as well as I will provide resources, pares to help your projects and provide feedback to your blog posts. I'll do my best to answer any questions you may have. I will help you learn more about how climate change influences water systems in our communities and around the world.

You are most welcome to use this discussion thread to share a bit more about yourself and your school. I look forward to working with you!
