Hi, I wanted to address the fact that every day, animals are going extinct. Why are we still letting this happen? I'm not one to say that I'm this high and mighty vegetarian (Not to offend any vegetarians out there, I just like to eat meat. :) ) I don't want to protect every little bug that crawls in my house. I'll gladly squash it. I am talking about other animals. Ones that are being poached, like elephants are for their tusks. But also animals that we don't really think about. In America, wild red wolves are going extinct because farmers are shooting them because they are eating their live stock. I understand that the average farmer doesn't want to give the wolves every prize cow, but there are things that we can do. My vision of a sustainable world is one where wild animals and humans can live in peace. I do believe in God and in the end where "the wolf will live with the lamb" Isaiah 11:6 I'm not talking about that we can communicate to wolves and talk them into not eating cows, in the here and now, but I do think that providing areas that are like nature preserves, with cattle herds that are maintained for wolves to eat like fish are stocked in a pond during fishing season. I hope that through my work, I can raise awareness about the 'underdog' whether that be wolves or not and I hope that I can help prevent, or at least slow down the extinction of God's creatures.
