自我介绍

I'm a cognitive scientist / roboticist with roots in the physical sciences and the humanities (degrees in physics and psychology), and a specific interest in science communication and rhetoric. I've been particularly concerned with climate change for some time, especially in understanding the denialist mindset (and attempting to overcome it). I've lived my whole life in Alberta, Canada, and feel a responsibility for our province's longtime emphasis on high-carbon tar sand development and opposition of conservation measures and renewable energy generation; the least I can do is help change course for the future.

I'm also an avid cyclist and bicycle mechanic, professional scuba diver, outdoors enthusiast, and solar energy generation installer on the side. Teaching is a passion of mine, and I've volunteered with the COP youth projects for three years now.
