Paige, Townsville Australia: My Carbon footprint

Nov 15, 2020 by Paige Stanek

Referring to my calculated carbon footprint it is clear changes within my daily lifestyle can be implemented to reduce the total. After examining my results I did not realise how much electrical usage and technology was sourced from daily practices in my household reflected from my results. To decrease my carbon footprint value I could use more environmentally sustainable substitutions for my electrical units at home, for example, solar panels. With the clothing I buy I could consider buying more thrift shop clothes and donate my clothing or re-purpose them to reduce fast fashion landfill. Since we have pet chickens in my household we could create compost so no left over food is thrown out and put to waste. By implementing these few advancements into my daily lifestyle, my carbon footprint should sufficiently decrease.
