Caithe Ng'endo, Nairobi, Kenya Introduction.
HELLO! My name is Caithe Ngendo and I’m from Nairobi, Kenya. This is my photovoice introduction. In the image to the right you can see deforestation, a major problem which Kenya is facing. This is one of the main causes of climate change. The image to the left is one of the biggest effects of climate change in Nairobi, flooding. Deforestation emits a lot of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, adding to the amount of greenhouse gases. This eventually leads to Global warming, therefore, change in climate. Climate change means extreme rainfall for Nairobi which causes a lot of flooding. This destroys several homes, people’s small shops and businesses, roads and schools etc. I am happy to be a part of COP26 to learn how I can help my country and others; I would also love to learn what fellow enthusiasts have done.

Hello, Caithe! Right off the bat, your images are immensely impactful. Undoubtedly, Kenya exhibits the results of climate crisis inaction. With just two images, you created an immense impact on me and probably many others.
Can't wait to work with you in the following weeks!

Hello Caithe, my name is Maggie. It was very interesting to listen to your story, as flooding also often happens in Queensland, Australia, where I live. In February last year we experienced the worst flooding event we have had in 100 years, it caused lots of the property damage like you were describing. I look forward to further interacting with you.
