Matheo, Perú, Science´s School - My Carbon Footprint

Environment   Nov 4, 2020 by Matheo

According to my results, I saw that I overpassed the limits from the average people footprint. So I leave here some recommendations that everyone can follow, specially me:

-Try to recycle any kind of things you can (I only did it with plastic bottles).
-Choose walking to your school or university rather than using a taxi, a car or a bus, even if more than one person is travelling with you.
-Don´t waste any quantity of water while you take a shower, brush your teeths, clean your clothes or clean the dishes (I didn´t but people might forget it).

You can write into the comments section your own opinion about my carbon footprint and some suggestions you can give me to improve my habits.
Thanks and good luck!

Hi Matheo,

Thankyou for those reccomendations! It's good to see your aknowledgment of what you can do to reduce your footprint. Those approaches are all very strong and will almost certainly make a difference! Another suggestion is to use any washing appliances at night as this not only saves energy but lowers the costs. Good luck!

Hey Matheo,

Thank you for your suggestions to help us decrease our carbon footprint.

Another thing i try to make sure i do is always turn the lights and fans off when i leave the room to save power. I also make sure the the washing machine and dishwasher are full before i turn it on to save water and electricity.  I'll keep trying to reduce not only my carbon footprint but also my school's.

Hi Matheo!

I think it's great that you are giving people recommendations as to how they can reduce their carbon footprint, however I would like to know why you think you have overpassed the average.

I think you have some good suggestions on how to lower your carbon footprint! If I could add anything to it I would say to do some research about what types of things are recyclable because I know a lot of people, including myself, don't even know that some things can be recycled!

Hey Matheo, thank you for your blog, it gave me a lot of useful information to reduce my carbon footprint and about yours. I'll keep trying to reduce not only my carbon footprint but also the schools.
