According to the carbon footprint quiz I completed, my carbon footprint is lower than Australia's average, but significantly higher than the worldwide average. My carbon footprint is notably lower in home, food, and purchases categories compared to Australia, but the transportation category is significantly larger. To reduce my carbon footprint, the obvious answer would be to cut down on transportation i.e. walk/ride a bike/use public transportation in everyday life. However, this is not really a viable option for my family as it is a 40 minute walk to school, an even longer walk to mum's work, and my sisters and I have extra-curricular activities that do not finish until dark. So to reduce my carbon footprint I should look into adapting my lifestyle in other ways. For example, my family does not compost so that is something that we should consider doing to cut down our carbon footprint. I am not perfect regarding my carbon footprint and can always do more to reduce it.

Hello Tara. Your post is very well written and I find it interesting that the biggest contributor to your carbon footprint is transportation because I have the same problem.
How could you reduce your carbon footprint?
