About Me

Hi there! I am a PhD student at the University of Alberta studying Sociology of Education. My PhD research involves exploring the role and impact of transnational corporations that are advancing the privatization and commodification of education in global contexts. I have conducted research on this topic in Ghana and I will soon be conducting research in the Philippines. For my Mater's thesis I researched student movements in Chile against the privatization of the national education system. I am also a research assistant with the Centre for Global Citizenship Education and Research at the University of Alberta.
