I do agree on how the government is working on reducing climate change, such as reducing greenhouse gases and reducing carbon emissions from power plants. However I do feel like drastically reducing carbon emissions as a whole would be impossible and quite frankly idealistic.

I agree completely. To see the entire world reduce carbon emissions would be nearly impossible. If we can't even agree on human rights issues how can we reduce our carbon emissions.
