Madison is a project coordinator for Polar Bears International working in partnership with TakingItGlobal to help facilitate the 2015 Decarbonize initiative, and will be mentoring students and providing feedback in the virtual classroom throughout this program. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies from Franklin University Switzerland and has conducted academic research on indigenous rights in sub-Saharan Africa and Australia. She is also currently working with the University of South Florida’s Global Citizens Forum to create a documentary film exploring the idea of global citizenship. Still a youth herself, she strongly believes in empowering young voices to effect change in their communities and the world at large through cross-cultural collaboration and dialogue. Between projects, she enjoys playing the guitar, traveling, and venturing out into the wilderness with a map and compass.
