About Me

We are a grade 5-6 class living in the Polar Bear Capital of the World: Churchill, Manitoba. There are 20 students in our class. From August to December we have polar bears passing through out town almost everyday. In Churchill you can also see arctic fox, arctic hare, wolves, jellyfish, and beluga whales. Lots of tourists from all over the world come to visit our town. We have 7 hotels, but only one grocery store. In the winter it can get as cold as -60 degress celcius. We have 6-8 months of winter. A lot of us like to spend our time trapping, fishing and hunting with our family. We trap and hunt moose, caribou, seal, arctic fox, marten, ptarmigan, ducks and geese to name a few.
