National Survey 2 A - Group 1

Environment   Oct 13, 2015 by Jatinder Kumar Saini

The biggest area of concern is the climatic changes occurring all over.during the survey it was found that though the community cares about taking actions on climatic changes it doesn't know what to do. Though our country is a developing country , it is evident from the survey people still lack proper guidance of disposal of household garbage , leave aside the industrial garbage.

The present generation would like to do a lot for the environment as it is aware of the consequences of the changing climate but it needs a guiding force or factor yo do the that it can utilise it's effort for a better tomorrow

Good evening,

My name is Geraldine and I am a mentor from the University of Alberta. I found this article from a graduate student at Yale University who studied the beliefs of the Indian population about climate change. I copy-pasted its summary on a word document that you can find in the resources-under the water adaptation folder. If you are interested, I can send you graphs and more information about this study.

Let me know if you find it helpful :)

Hello Geraldine!

Yes thanks a lot for posting the document on Indian beliefs, it was helpful. It reestablished the notion that the Indian community as well as the global community is either unaware of the issue of climate change and other facets like global warming, or does not realize its importance and significance. Only if each one of us understands what we are dealing with, and how it is going to impact each one of us, will we ever each an amicable solution.
