The results of this survey are a little bit suprising for me. It shows that Filipinos are aware of climate change, but theyre not making an action about it. They dont believe that their small actions have an effect on climate change. Here are the results that I separated into 2 categories. Strongly agree and does not fully agree.
They strongly agree that...
- Changes in the climate are impacting them personally
- Changes in the climate are impacting members of their community
- they get their energy from non-renewable sources
- they are often asked to talk about climate change in school
- they talk about climate change with their parents or community
- climate change i the most important issue of our generation
- whoever is elected President and Vice President in the 2016 elections must have a strong program regarding climate change
- climate change is affecting the economy
They do not fully agree that...
- their individual actions have a significant effect on the global climate
- their community cares about taking action on climate change
- they know where their food is grown
- their community disposes waste responsibly
- their family would consider moving to another country if the Philippine government will not act on climate change
- in the Philippines, climate change is an important political issue
- they have an influence on their goverment's response to climate change

Thank you Jana for your analysis:) very interesting results indeed. I think one thing that is clear from these results is that climate change is a very complicated problem. We often have a hard time understanding it because of its enormous scale. the natural disasters in Philippines or US are the results of years and years of un-regulated consumption of fossil fuels. It can be challenging to relate our personal life styles to such a huge issue.
The way to manage climate change is to first understand the scale and nature of the problem. I think based on results of your first category we are actually close. The next step is to take major steps on a global scale. That requires money, time, and resources and that's why we should push all world leaders by any non-violent way we can to make the right decisions.
