The article titled" A year of action" talks about how different parts of the world are taking their own steps or trying to progress into putting a step forward to help reduce climate change. It talks about how different organizations have reached out to different people to encourage and inspire them to make change happen. One of the organizations that is part of it is Action 1D. This organization created by the band One Direction, is set to make teens and adults to speak up towards their world leaders to voice what change they want to see in their world. This organization encourages everyone in all countries of the world, including Canada, to do something about changing the world. Back to the articles. This article's theme is related to Canada in the sense of how this article is focused in encouraging everyone to make change happen about climate change. In comparison to Canada, our goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions gradually by 2030. Due to Canada realizing the harmful effects GHG emissions does to our environment, the government has taken huge steps to make their goal of reducing GHG emissions possible. For example,Canadian government has invested into have generation from energy from renewable energy source. Other examples how Canada is progressing to reduce GHG emissions can be read in this article http://www4.unfccc.int/submissions/INDC/Published%20Documents/Canada/1/INDC%20-%20Canada%20-%20English.pdf. OOverall the theme of this article is related because both are trying to encourage the world to make change towards reducing climate change!

Thank you Satsuki for the blog.
I did take a look at this report you linked at the end of your post and I found some interesting notions. For example this report suggests that between 2005 and 2013, there was a decline in the national green house gas emissions while the economy grew by 12.9%. Interestingly, the decrease in GHG happened because of full divestment from coal in Ontario. If you look at this graph you'll see that after the dip, there is a sharp increase in GHG:

I think a lot of actions need to be taken to ensure that Canada's role in adapting to climate change has been established.
